Chicago city is living under threat of a tornado. Earlier, on Monday nightcity’s Wrigley Field was cleared soon after the information breakout that a tornado is heading towards the city. Thereafter, fans at the Chicago Cubs and Houston Astros game were evacuated. Also, sirens blared throughout the city showing the eminent danger of looming storm.
However, the National Weather Service (NWS) had not confirmed any tornado touchdowns earlier. Now, it says trained spotters have reported high-rotation winds in DeKalb and Kane counties in northeastern Illinois, where widespread tree and power line damage was reported. One Bob Sejnoha of Algonquin telling his experience of tornado said that he never has seen anything like it.
Similarly, passengers at O'Hare International Airport were evacuated into the lower levels of the complex's buildings. As soon as storm hit, all flights were temporarily halted. Also, travelers who already had boarded airplanes were taken out. However, there has not been any damage or injuries at O'Hare or Midway Airport other than cancellation of more than 350 flights at O'Hare.
