Chevrolet Sonic car will soon be replacing Aveo car in Indian automobile market this year itself. Chevrolet Sonic has created chill around the world when it was launched at Detroit show.

This car will be available both as a sedan and also as a hatchback car. Mostly this car will be launched in the 2nd half of this year in Indian market.

As far as the exterior is considered, Chevy Sonic have got tough natural looking lines, which is different than the present Aveo cars that are conservatively styled. This style change can be called as a good thing.

The car has matte black honeycomb grille inserts on all models, and chrome grille surrounds. The car wheel size can even be of 17-inch alloy size.

General Motor pointed out that it was Corvette car engineers who did all fine things with the car’s ride as well as handling. The electronic power steering will come in as standard.

This car interior features a complete instrument cluster and has large, circular analogy tachometer set within an asymmetrical LCD readout. This car will also have a large digital speed-meter display.

Some other attractive features are there like the cobra head automatic shift knob, along with a tubular outboard climate outlets which are on the instrument panel surface. The mid-instrument panel can be called as colorful, as it is in dark titanium and in brick shades.

This car also has front bucket seats; with remote start and sunroof given as elective features.

On the safety aspects, ten standard airbags, EBD, ABS, and On Star with Automatic Crash Response are given in the Chevrolet Sonic car. Power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes are standard. This car will also have four-channel antilock braking system.

In India, Aveo/Sonic will be powered by the 1.3 litre Fiat Multijet diesel engine. Right now Aveo in India is run by 1.4-liter engine that uses both CNG as well as gasoline engine.
