The General Motors Europe has released the very first pictures of its Orlando concept, slated to debut at the Paris Auto Show October this year. Even though much compact in size, the Orlando concept of GE makes one remember the Chevrolet Sequel SUV/crossover concept from 2005. It is being touted as a seven-seat family multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). Based on the all-new Cruze compact sedan, the Orlando concept car can be used as a sport utility, family van as well as a wagon. It has got a wheelbase of 2760 mm.

The General Motors is levying special emphasis on the functionality of the Orlando concept car. It has got three rows (seats) that can accommodate a total of seven passengers and is quite adaptable as its spacious cabin can be easily altered into a huge cargo space. It is powered by Chevrolet’s newest-generation 2.0-liter turbo diesel, developing 150 hp and 320 Nm of torque. The GM Europe said that it is eagerly looking forward to the production of Orlando.
