The new upcoming Batman movie will feature the well-known American pop singer-songwriter, actress and singer Cher as the 'catwoman'. A popular tabloid has reported that talks are on to cast the 62 year-old Cher opposite Christian Bale in Batman film 'The Dark Knight' directed by Christopher Nolan.
The Mirror quoted a studio executive as saying that Cher happens to be the first choice of Christopher Nolan for catwoman's role. 'He wants her to portray her like a vamp in her twilight years. The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry's purring creations,' the studio executive informed.
The grapevine also has it that Johnny Depp will be playing The Riddler, Angelina Jolie the role of Catwoman and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin in the follow-up to this summer's blockbuster 'The Dark Knight.'
