The unbeaten 99 from J P Duminy guided Cape Cobras to grab a five-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in the opening Group C match at the inaugural event of the Champions League Twenty20 cricket tournament.
 
Duminy's fireworks left the Bangalore bowlers literally blind after he showcased a wonderful eight fours and five sixes from just 52 balls, to empower the South African side home with two balls to spare.
 
Apart from Duminy, Henry Davids (27 off 21) and Ryan Canning (20 off 18) showcased decent performances for Cape Cobras.
 
Praveen Kumar was the pivotal bowler for Royal Challengers, grabbing three wickets for 32 runs.
 
Royal Challengers, who won the toss, had elected to bat first, leaving the Cape Cobras to restrict their cruising to an average score of 180 off 20 overs, at a loss of 4 wickets.
 
Robin Uthappa earned a 51 off 39 balls whereas Taylor scored an unbeaten 53 off 24 deliveries to help Bangalore showcase a decent score.
 
Now, Cape Cobras have earned two points.
