The Centre has put off its decision regarding the Delhi high court judgment to decriminalise gay sex.
 
When asked about the cabinet’s discussion on the same, Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni had replied like “the home minister was not present so it was not discussed”.
 
When asked on government’s stand on the issue before the Supreme Court hearing on Monday, she said, “The law ministry will look into it”.
 
The health, law and home minsters have agreed to the document which had stated that the move of the Delhi High court should not be opposed.
 
Before finalising the note for the Union cabinet, Home Minister P Chidambaram Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and Law Minister M Veerappa Moily had held series of meetings to arrive at a conclusion on the issue.
