The Central Board of Secondary Education which conducted the ‘All India Senior School Certificate Examination’ (AISSCE) for class XII has announced the result (for Chennai, Ajmer and Panchkula regions) for the current year’s examination on 21st May. On May 23, CBSE will declare the result for class XII for Delhi, Guwahati and Allahabad regions. As soon as the results are declared by the board, they can be obtained by visiting the official result site of CBSE – ‘cbseresults.nic.in’.
The jurisdiction of the Central Board of Secondary Education is widespread and stretches beyond the national geographical boundaries. CBSE today has Indian schools in the Middle East and many schools in South East Asia are affiliated to the board. The schools located in Delhi, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim too are affiliated with CBSE. Over 13.3 lakh students have appeared in the CBSE X and XII Examinations held in 2008.
