The renowned German politician Adolf Hitler had once gifted a Mercedes Benz to Nepali King Tribhuvan, the grandfather of Nepal’s recently deposed king Gyanendra. Following Gyanendra’s evacuation from his royal Narayanhiti place, it has been decided to convert the place into a museum. Among other belongings of the Nepal’s royal family which will get exhibited in the palace museum will also be this 1939 Mercedes Benz.  
 
Nepali officials have stated that the 1939 Mercedes Benz, which was presented to King Tribhuvan by Hitler, is now gathering rust in the compound of the royal Narayanhiti palace of Nepal. They said that it is since last thee years that the car has been lying there unused in the Narayanhiti palace. Before this, it was being used by the engineering college in Kathmandu to train mechanics. This car used to be used by Tribhuvan in Kathmandu when no other motor transport existed there.
