India's leading telecommunications company, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has chosen Dilithium solutions for the deployment of new mobile video and streaming services over 2G and 3G networks. Dilithium is a leading global company which offers high-quality multimedia delivery over mobile and broadband networks. The Live TV service of BSNL is likely to be launched in the first part of 2009. As result, Dilithium along with HCL Infosystems Ltd will provide end-to-end delivery solutions for BSNL's live mobile video services. Dilithium will offer its Dilithium DTG(r) 3021 multimedia gateways and the DCA video streaming solution in BSNL's project.

 

BSNL's proposed live mobile video services will help people to go for video calling and other advanced video services. Talking about the new task given to Dilithium solutions, company's senior official, Uno Mehta told reporters that Dilithium will help BSNL to meet its requirements in operating the live mobile video services. He said that it has been a privilege for the company to work with BSNL. Dilithium solutions is supposed to help BSNL immensely as it has the ability to provide comprehensive end to end solutions for both circuit switched and packet switched video.

 

Recently, BSNL has announced to roll out third generation (3G) mobile services in Chennai by January 2009. Dilithium solutions is also likely to assist BSNL in its 3G project. Besides its telecom services, BSNL is also one of the leading internet service providers in the country. With more than 17 lakhs subscribers, it provides internet service to the entire country (except in New Delhi and Mumbai) under the brand name of Sancharnet.
