The key index of the Indian equities markets was fickle in early trade on Thursday, and was ruling nine points above the last closing figure about ten minutes into trade.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, which opened higher at 14,694.31 points, was ruling at 14,654.64 points, 9.17 points or 0.06% above Wednesday's close.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) too was hovering around its previous close, rising 0.04% to rule around 4,346 points.
Broader market indices were in the green, with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.29% higher and the BSE small cap index moving up 0.64%.
