The key index of the Indian equities market is trading flat on Friday, ruling just 20 points lower than its last closing figure about 10 minutes into trade.
The benchmark index of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the Sensex, which opened lower at 14,552.72 points, rose soon after to rule at 14,683.37 points, 20.12 points or 0.14% below Wednesday's close.
The S&P CNX Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) was also hovering around its previous close to rule at 4,340.6 points, 0.19% lower.
Broader market indices were trading similar to the benchmark index, with the BSE midcap index ruling 0.31% lower and the BSE smallcap index moving down 0.05%.
