Bruno Senna has signed for new Formula One team Campos. This was disclosed by a racing official said on Thursday. Bruno Senna is the nephew of three-time world champion Ayrton Senna. The 26-year-old finalised his deal with Campos last weekend.
The Brazilian racing official who was involved in the negotiations said he could not reveal any details and said that Campos has planned to announce the news following this weekend's race in Abu Dhabi.
The deal returns the legendary Senna name to F1 for the first time in 15 years, since Ayrton Senna's death in a crash at the San Marino GP in 1994.
Bruno's father was killed in a motorcycle accident shortly after Ayrton's death .Senna had said last year, "It was kind of a taboo. I just had to respect the pain and the family; I just had to cope with it.”
Senna jumped to GP2 for 2006. He finished in the second spot in driver standings in the F1 feeder series.
