The current fad in Bollywood, it seems, is roping in celebrities to do cameos in films. The latest one to enter the fray is Australian cricketer Brett Lee, who will be seen in Manmohan Shetty's Victory. Lee plays himself in the forthcoming Bollywood flick, in which not only has he exhibited his cricketing skills to the hilt, but is also learnt to have enjoyed this experience very much.
'Working in the movie was fun because I just got to play myself. I enjoyed the whole experience,' Lee said recently. Then talking about his shooting experience in Victory, the Australian cricketer added, 'We used to play a lot of cricket on the sets and my co-stars got many cricketing tips from me.' The story of Victory is about a small town cricketer (played by Harman Baewja) who makes it big internationally. This character is helped in the movie by Brett Lee.
The audience will get to see some other Australian players as well in Victory alongside Lee, such as Michael Hussey, Brad Hogg and Stuart Clark, for the very first time. Though a successful and renowned cricketer, it is family that comes first for Brett Lee.
He also nurtures a love for music and has even appeared in a music video from the album of celebrated singer Asha Bhosle titled ‘Asha and friends.’ 'I am a music lover and I can hear anything from 'Metallica' to 'Backstreet Boys,' Lee remarks.
