Former Brazilian striker Romario de Souza Faria may have bid a farewell to his career, but not to his distinguishing verbosity. Recently, he admitted that has had sex on an aeroplane during a trip with the Brazilian national team. Romario also claims that he feels he is even ‘better than Pele’, the former legendary Brazilian football player. Romario made these remarks on television programme Fantastico, on the channel Rede Globo on Sunday 20 April.

 

Referring to his having sex on the plane, Romario said he could nor recall exactly when this incident happened, but it was sometime when he had just started out at the national team, during the first trip. Romario, who by his own controversial count scored over 1,000 goals in his long career, claimed that he was the best of them all inside the box. Since I did not see Pele play, I think I am better than him (Pele), said 42 year-old Romario.
