A new study has come up with an amazing discovery regarding Botox. According to the study, Botox which helps in tackling wrinkles has the potential to ease chronic pain.
About 5 – 26 people out of 100,000 endure experience chronic pain, at least once in their life. Generally people go in for massage, physiotherapy, stretching and strengthening exercises as well as cold/heat therapy to ease the pain.
The new study has discovered that administering Botox in areas of pain can ease the pain to a great level.
All patients reported a significant improvement (31.25 percent) in their daily pain control that was maintained for up to 17 months.
These findings were presented at the Plastic Surgery 2009 conference in Seattle.
