The fundraising campaign for US Presidential candidate Barack Obama saw rocker Jon Bon Jovi pitching in recently. The 'Livin On A Prayer' singer organized a fund-raiser at his New Jersey home for Obama that brought in a whopping $3 million and the Democratic National Committee. The event was attended by around 100 people on Friday, September 5, 2008 at Bon Jovi's mansion in Middletown, NJ.

Each person at the fund-raiser had to pay about $31,000 in order to avail a close interaction with Bon Jovi as well as other Democratic supporters. Obama himself showed up and gave a quick speech, thanking the audience as well as Bon Jovi for their support. 'We are not going to be bullied by the attacks of rich Republicans,' announced Barack Obama.
