Director: Anthony D'Souza
Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Kumar, Zayed Khan, Lara Dutta, Katrina Kaif Kylie Minogue

Blue has been one of the most hyped as well as one of the most expected movies of this year, as the filmmakers had claimed it to be adhering to the Hollywood standards. And Blue is exactly what the filmmakers have claimed. This is first of the underwater movies in Bollywood, which can very rarely be seen in Hollywood also. Blue sets a different benchmark for the action movies of Bollywood.

Even though it is not a movie which falls into the category of mind-blowing commercial action thriller, I agree to the fact that it definitely offers something which is truly innovative and unique.

Even though the storyline is a very blurred one, the action-packed movie never allows the audience to feel its absence. The USP of the movie is the perfect blend of action and an unknown world.

The storyline, let me tell you, is very basic. Akshay Kumar, who is extremely rich, loves to explore a treasure, for which he convinces, Sanjay Dutt who is his employee-cum-friend.

Dutt, who is reluctant to plunge into the sea, is convinced by Zayed Khan, who essays the role of Sanjay’s brother and beau Lara Dutt. But finally he yields and Blue starts off.

The five action sequences maintain the movie’s pace. Zayed Khan has three action sequences with the bike, which is a totally different experience of the Indian movies.

Then there is the boxing ring sequence, which has Akshay and Sanjay, which is marvellous. But the most adorable and breathtaking sequence is the underwater hunting.

Even though, the movie is supposed to be a multistarrer, Akshay leads the movie. All of them, including Katrina Kaif and Kylie Minogue, who are in cameo shots, have done a decent job.

The movie really showcases some innovative stunts, glamour and pulsating action and is meant for the youths who would love to see some unbelievable, non-stop stunts for two hours.

This is a must watch for this Diwali weekend for those who love action movies of James Bond genre.
