Blockbuster has inked a deal with Motorola for bringing its OnDemand service on the mobile phones. This announcement comes just a month after it announced its direct delivery of movies at the doorstep.
This service will be available only on ‘select’ Motorola mobiles and will provide the users the option for accessing "thousands" of movies. The release date of the app has not yet been announced. This service also offers the users with option of choosing those movies which will then be delivered to their homes. Yet another option with this service is that the users can reserve the title s they want for in-store pickup.
Motorola feels that this service can help in boosting its image in the mobile market as it is desperately in need of some market shares.
This Blockbuster service will be available in Android-based Motorola phones.Depite the unique nature of this app, it will have to face a tough competition with iPhone and its many multimedia capabilities.
