BlackBerry maker Research In Motion (RIM) will launch its new BlackBerry Style smartphone on the CDMA platform in India.  
 
“After a successful launch in the US and Canada, we are now launching BlackBerry Style, the new dual-screen phone in the Indian market through CDMA technology ,” Research In Motion India's Managing Director Frenny Bawa was quoted as saying.
 
In India, the BlackBerry Style comes on Reliance Communications and Tata Indicom, Bawa added.
 
However, the company has not disclosed the price details of the phone. Bawa maintained that the price of BlackBerry Style would be announced at the time of launch.
 
This would also be BlackBerry’s first full QWERTY-enabled smartphone that runs on BlackBerry 6 operating system.
 
For BlackBerry, India is an important market with growing number of smartphone users in the country. “India is an important market for us and our key objective is to bring new products and services in India,” Bawa added.
 
BlackBerry, which is widely used by corporate community, is slowly losing its market share to its rival Apple’s iPhone.
 
BlackBerry Style is a flip-flop model smartphone that comes with two display screens and an optical trackpad. The phone sports a 5 mega pixels camera with flash and video recorder. The phone supports up to up to 32 GB memory and has 3G, Wi-Fi connectivity features.
