Vodafone has announced that it will sell RIM’s new Blackberry Pearl 3G smartphone on pay monthly tariffs only.  However, there is no word about the exact date of the release of the device.

The Pearl 3G weighs 93 grams and runs with an ARM-based 624Mhz processor. It incorporates several other features like inbuilt GPS with geotagging, dedicated multimedia keys for social networking sites, microSD/SDHD memory card slot up to 32 GB and 3.2MP camera with Zoom, Autofocus, flash and video recording.

More to it, Blackberry Pearl 3G is the first Blackberry smartphone to come with 802.11n WiFi support. There is also an optical trackpad as compared to the normal pearl-shaped trackball on many recent Blackberry smartphones.  However, it comes without a proper QWERTY keyboard and lacks RIM's proprietary SureType technology

The other features that come with this Blackberry set include RIM's Blackbeery App world which will give users access to hundreds of apps. Though, the store is not as big as the Android and the App Store.
