The manufacturers of the BlackBerry mobile handset, Research in Motion (RIM) eventually released its much-hyped BlackBerry Bold smartphone. The launch of the BlackBerry Bold smartphone took place in Austria and follows the international launch of Apple’s iPhone few weeks ago.

 

Similar to the Apple iPhone, the new RIM phone also works on the much swifter, next-generation 3G network and embodies a GPS. The new BlackBerry Bold smartphone is rich in features such as half-VGA LCD display with 480x320 resolution, strong 624 MHz processor and one GB internal memory.

 

The Research In Motion Limited describes its new offering as ideal for business and enterprise people. Among other features include a two mega pixel camera with video recording facility, built-in flash and digital zoom. Further on the BlackBerry Bold smartphone has a impressive media player for watching pictures, slides, films, etc.  

 

A statement issued by the RIM mentioned that the audio can be played either on the phone’s dual speakers, headphones or external speakers. Through the media player, the user can choose from a total of 11 preset filters such as Lounge, Hip Hopp and Jazz. This will intensify or soften the audio ranges to suit the ambience and one’s mood.
