Blackberry Curve 8900 smartphone will be available in India very soon. According to some media reports, Blackberry manufacturer, Canada based Research in Motion (RIM) has announced to launch the highly prized mobile handset in India. In the mean time, Curve 8900 will be unveiled in Australia on next Wednesday (1st April) at RIM’s recently opened North Sydney offices. However, no carrier has been announced yet, although Optus and Vodafone both are the candidates.
Blackberry Curve 8900 smartphone features sleek new twist on a classic style. It has a striking 480×360-pixel screen that offers up crisp on-the-go video, images, text, maps and more. Curve 8900 has several advanced features like 2.4-inch HVGA+ (480x360) light-sensing display, built-in GPS and Wi-Fi support and an advanced media player for music, video and pictures, including support for streaming audio and video
Blackberry Curve 8900 also has MicroSD/SDHC memory card slot supporting cards of up to 16 GB and removable and rechargeable battery of 1400 mAhr with 5.5 hours of talk time and 15 days of standby time. Pricing would not be announced until each carrier adds the 8900 to its line-up. The new Blackberry handset will be available only through each carrier under a contract.
