The BIG Entertainment owned by Reliance seems to be all busy these days trying to make its presence felt internationally. After it declared its grand plans to venture into Hollywood recently, BIG Entertainment spokespersons informed that the company is now all geared to infiltrate into Singapore. Infact from July 1 onwards this year, BIG Entertainment will be operating a station in Singapore that will purely be dedicated to Bollywood. For this project, the BIG Entertainment has entered into an alliance with the popular radio network of Singapore, MediaCorp.

This JV will create a new radio station in Singapore by the name BIG Bollywood 96.3 FM and it will, during the initial phase, air songs and other entertainment-related programmes from five to eight pm local Singapore time.  Talking about BIG Entertainment’s overseas expansion, Tarun Katial, COO, BIG 92.7 FM underscored that Singapore houses a significant Indian population that simply craves for Bollywood-related entertainment. Katial said that this is basically what has led to the Singapore launch of BIG Bollywood 96.3 FM and that MediaCorp was chosen as it is an established name in that region.
