The very sequels of the 1976 suspense-horror Hollywood flick ‘The Omen’ may have failed to match up to it in all aspects. But this has not dissuaded filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt from making an honest try in ‘Raaz - The Mystery Continues’, an upcoming movie of his which he says is inspired by The Omen.
He is, however, careful in pointing out that this new Raaz is not the sequel of the 2005 hit which starred Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea. Talking about his new film project, Mukesh Bhatt said, ‘The film can be termed as a supernatural thriller on the lines of Hollywood's 1976 movie The Omen starring Gregory Peck and Lee Remick.’
He thereafter adds that the story of Raaz is not really the same as that of Hollywood’s The Omen. The new Raaz is heard to be already on the floor and is a part of the Rs one billion contract. It is being co-produced by Vishesh Films and Sony BMG. The direction of Raaz is being handled by Mohit Suri, who directed Kalyug. This new horror flick from the Bhatt camp stars Emraan Hashmi and Kangana Ranaut and is slated for release by this year’s end.
