Bharti Airtel, one of the major telecom service providers of India, has joined hands with US-based Cisco Systems, which is into the manufacturing of network equipments. This partnership will be providing services to small, medium as well as large organizations.
The partnership will enable Airtel to use the Internet Protocol (IP) technologies as well as expertise of Cisco for the development and selling products and services, which are very unique. Some of the services which will be offered by this partnership include managed data services, hosted unified communications, connected branch services and Cisco TelePresence.
A dedicated team will be appointed by Airtel and Cisco for the development and managing these services so that customers from across small, medium and large enterprises.
Sanjay Mittal, senior vice-president of Bharti Airtel, will lead the initiative with the support of a governing board comprising executives from both companies.
