Bharti Airtel has registered a net profit of Rs.2,297 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended on Sep 30.

India’s leading telecom operator Bharti Airtel has registered a net profit of Rs.2,297 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended on Sep 30, logging a 43.1% increase from the Rs.1,605 crore registered during the last fiscal’s Q2.
 
The net income stood at Rs.8,927 crore for the Q2 of 2009-10 fiscal, 7.5% up from the Rs.8,303 crore logged during similar period of previous fiscal.
 
The group's consolidated results according to Indian Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IGAAP) showed 35% increase in net profit.
 
The consolidated net profit has been logged at Rs.2,254 crore for the quarter ended Sep 30, 2009, as against the Rs.1,668 crore in the like quarter of last fiscal.
 
The total income increased 16 percent to Rs.10,393 crore from Rs.8,952 crore.
