The forged and machined components arm of Kalyani group, Bharat Forge has registered a net profit of Rs.26.8 crore for the second quarter of the 2009-10 fiscal which ended on Sep 30. This is 138.48% up from the Rs.11.25 crore registered during the corresponding period last fiscal.
But the company has registered a dip in the total income to be registered at Rs.433.55 crore during the Q2 of 2009-10 when compared to Rs.685.78 crore registered during similar period last fiscal.
The company's earnings from its core forging business fell sharply to Rs.426.64 crore from Rs.673.67 crore it made in the like quarter last fiscal.
Bharat Forge is a $2.4-billion company with operations across 12 locations and six countries.
