In response to Bharat Bandh on Monday, about 86 domestic flights have been cancelled to and from Mumbai.

 According to officials, many of the passengers failed to reach the airport on time which forced the private airlines to cancel its flights. One of the busiest airport of India Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) reported a near-deserted look as pre-paid and metered taxis and auto rickshaws remained off the roads.

 Meanwhile, Mumbai International Airport Ltd, arranged with the BEST to provide 20 buses from the domestic terminal and six from the international terminal to transport passengers to various destinations in the city.

 Most schools, colleges, private offices, malls, multiplexes and other establishments did not open on precautionary measure, while most government offices reported thin attendance.
