Beijing Auto Show 2010 showcased a variety of concept models including Chevy’s electric Volt MPV5 and the Chinese-made BYD e6. But the highlight of the auto show was the leaf concept car, BYD e6 that is touted to be the best model for zero carbon dioxide emission.

The leaf concept car is made by the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (SAIC) and is there to compete with the biggies. It is fitted with photovoltaic cells at the roof of the leaf. The car draws energy from the solar cells. Apart from that, the car can also draw wind energy through four turbines located on each of the car’s wheels. There is option for adjusting the energy level of the car.

The car also fits to be a sci-fi car that is made from a metal-organic framework, which turns carbon dioxide and water into energy and oxygen. The catchy look is also a plus point for the car to attract an onlooker.
