BBC World has tied with six mobile service providers of the country to provide users with content including news video clips. The managing director of BBC world, Anne Barnard said that BBC hopes to grow rapidly through the use of these six mobile platforms. She also said very soon the users can access videos of news clips.
 
Barnard further added that the BBC is planning to increase the news programs on its television channel and generate more content for services like video on demand and pod casts. She said that BBC wants an increase in the number of audiences and revenues through more live channels and other programs.
 
According to BBC's officials its own television channel BBC World News is globally watched by 78 million people in a week. The website of BBC is visited by 29 million people in a month. BBC has also adapted a brand new look apart from changing its name to BBC World. The officials also said that there has been 25 % increase in the number of Asian audience over the last five years.
