A recent check up performed on Obama, his first check up since he became president has revealed that he is physically fit to perform his duties but needs to watch his cholesterol.

His LDL cholesterol level is 138 and has to be brought below 130 as his 138 is "bad" cholesterol, according to the American Heart Association. Dr. Jeff Kuhlman, a Navy captain and Obama’s physician said, "Recommend dietary modification to reduce LDL cholesterol below 130." He said that Obama needs to cut down on his frequent cheese burgers.

His doctor also pointed out that Obama should continue with his efforts of quitting smoking as he still smokes more than he should in a day. Obama is also going through a nicotine replacement therapy.

The doctor has also said that Obama has been put on a "non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication" to combat the knee pain that he suffers from.

Apart from the few minor problems cholesterol, knee pain and smoking that he suffers from Obama is physically fit to perform his duties according to his doctor."The president is in excellent health and 'fit for duty’,” Kuhlman said. He added, "All clinical data indicate that he will remain so for the duration of his presidency."

Obama’s vision, body mass index (BMI), blood pressure and heart rate are all said to be perfect. His 20/20 vision, resting heart rate of 56, 23.7 BMI, blood pressure of 105-62 and his weight of 179.9 pounds with a height of 6’1” got him a clean chit from his physician.

Obama's doctor recommended his next physical to take place in August next year, when the president turns 50.
