The sequel of ‘Bal Ganesh’, the animated movie which describes the tales of Ganesh as a kid, is slated to hit the silver screens on Oct 23.
The Bal Ganesh sequel is a co-production of Shemaroo Entertainment and Astute Media Vision. 200 prints, including the digital ones, will be released across the nation.
‘Bal Ganesh 2, as the movie has been names, will showcase the child Ganesh taking on against wicked, powerful demons like Gajamukhasur. It also shows how Maharshi Vyas defeats Ganesh in the competition.
"The overwhelming response to 'Bal Ganesh' prompted us to consider a sequel and here it is," said Smita Maroo, vice president (animation), Shemaroo Entertainment.
"We have been consistently delivering strong animation content and we are glad that 'Bal Ganesh 2' is the first Indian animation release of 2009," she added.
Pankaj Sharma, who has directed the movie claims that it will entertain people across all ages.
"There are quite a few pleasant surprises awaiting all 'Bal Ganesh' fans. We had great fun working on this film. We are certain that kids and families will enjoy watching this film."
The vocals for the movie have been rendered by Sukhwinder Singh, Suresh Wadkar, Neeraj Sridhar with music from Shamir Tandon.
