The motorcycles from one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturer of India, Bajaj Auto, has registered a sales of 249,681 units for the month of Oct 2009, registering a 52% growth when compared to the sales of 163,850 units registered during similar period last fiscal.
"Bajaj motorcycle sales grew 52 percent in October 2009 despite several supply constraints," said Bajaj Auto managing director Rajiv Bajaj.
"We are confident of maintaining this growth rate for the rest of FY10," he added.
The company has registered a sales of 30,481 units for its three-wheelers for this month as against the 26,363 three-wheelers sold during the corresponding period last fiscal.
The exports stood at 84,012 units, registering a 12% YOY from the 75,092 units reported during similar period last fiscal.
