Austria with the help of single goal from Croatian-born Austrian player Ivica Vastic stopped Poland to draw in their Euro Cup 2008 match. Ivica has become the oldest scorer in Euro championships history when he converted an injury-time penalty to give the co-hosts a 1-1 draw with Poland. Though the result has not yet decided the fate of any of these two teams, the result of the match made Croatia another team in group B to reach into the Euro 2008 quarterfinals.

The 38-year-old Ivica has been a leading figure for Austrian football. He was also the scorer for Austria when Austrian team had appeared 1998 World Cup in France. His performance at the tournament has made his team's expectations alive to play in quarterfinals but for that they will have to defeat Germany.

Poland was sure of its victory until last minute and showed discontent on the decision of English match referee Howard Webb. 26-year-old Poland striker Roger Guerreiro scored the only goal for Polish team. Roger who is a Brazilian native is now Poland citizen.
