Australia Won their second world crown in the Hockey World Cup defeating the world champions Germany at the Delhi’s National Stadium.
The scoreline read 2-1 as the ausssies won lifted the cup. They proved to be a better team on the day. Germany was able to pull a goal back in the 48th minute through Moritz Furste but was not good enough.
The credit goes to master coach Charlesworth who has turned the young side into a World Champion Unit. Australia had previously won the Champions League last year. The win gives the Australians their second win with the previous one coming in the year 1986 against England.
