Now the shoppers will have a one-stop shop here in Ask.com as the network has a new deal in the form of ‘Ask Deals’ to provide easy shopping to the customers.
According to Scott Garell, president of Ask Networks, there will be links to online coupons along with the search results for certain types of queries, such as ‘jeans’, ‘LCD TV’ or ‘Plasma TV’. Along with this, there will be links to the Deals page outside the home page to promote the products and many more opportunities for savings. There is a ‘deal of the day’ option to woo the customers.
Ask Networks also revealed that it had seen a phenomenal growth of 50% last year in this coupon search category. They said that it could be due to the present economic condition. So they had thought of organizing the search instead of giving additional information in the site.
It’s now clear that the people are more search centric due to the high rate of unemployment. So obviously, it will motivate them to go for a primary shopping search engine.
Ask had started the public ad campaign with the Nascar this year but still lagging in the search market share with a meagre 3.9% only as compared to Google and Yahoo.
