India is all set to take on defending champions Sri Lanka in the finals of the Asia Cup cricket tournament on Sunday, July 06, 2008. With the bowlers in the Indian side not showcasing their best talents, the team led by skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will largely rely on their in-form batsmen to do the job for getting the title. The Sri Lankans are on the other hand pretty confident with their series of wins to take on India.

The Indian bowlers have not been able to make much of an impression in the Asia Cup tournament so far on the batting friendly track at National Stadium. The Indians key to victory largely being the batsmen, but the bowlers too will have to put up a better show than the previous times. Sri Lanka Captain Mahela Jayawardene had recently remarked that he had no preference whether the Sri Lankan side played Pakistan or India in the final.

The Sri Lankan skipper further remarked that if you wish to win the tournament then you need to beat the best. The Indian team’s captain MS Dhoni on facing Sri Lanka remarked that Sri Lanka is a tough side and they except a tough match against the Lankans in the final. Who will finally be the best in Asian cricket will be decided today itself.
