On 13 Mar'09, Ashok Maneria of Rajasthan was chosen as captain of the Indian Under-19 cricket team, which will visit Australia to play three one-day internationals and two three-day games in April. To pick the 16-member squad, the Junior Selection Committee met at TNCA (Tamil Nadu Cricket Association) Office in Chennai. The tour will commence on 4 April and conclude on 22 April, as reported by a BCCI release.

 

The members of the Squad are: Ashok Maneria (Captain), Harpreet Singh (Vice Captain), Mukul Dagar, Mayhank Agarwal, Karun Nair, Mandeep Singh, Manan Sharma, Sufian Sheikh, Avi Barath, Saurav Netravalkar, Harshal Patel, Krishna Das, Jaidev Unadkad, Gagandeep Singh, Gaurav Jathar, and Kundan Singh.
