Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole has attained a rather infamous title by becoming 'Britain's Most Reviled Celebrity of 2008'. The 28-year-old English reportedly cheated on his wife, Cheryl Cole which earned him the title of most hated celebrity of year. The Chelsea defender, Cole is followed by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay for his alleged affair. Kerry Katona bagged the third spot in the list of most hated celebrity.

 

The 28-year-old singer, Katona shocked TV viewers with an erratic appearance on the show looking all confused during the interview with Philip Schofield and Fern Britton. Ashley Cole was alleged of having physical relationship with his wife's friend earlier this year. The footballer was nominated as the reviled celebrity on the basis of opinion polls conducted in Britain.

 

Before joining Chelsea, Cole used to play for local club Arsenal. With Arsenal, he won the Premier League twice and the FA Cup three times. The footballer joined Arsenal when he was only a teenager. In 2005, the English footballer moved to Chelsea. He was also fined by Arsenal for joining the rival club without giving prior information.
