Singer Ashlee Simpson on Saturday, May 17, 2008 got married to her fiance rocker Pete Wentz. The couple has been romantically linked since 2006 and announced their engagement in April this year. The marriage is the first for both. Ashlee’s father hosted the wedding ceremony at his Encino, California home in the presence of nearly 150 guests.
A leading international magazine reported on its website that the spokesperson for the couple confirmed the news on Saturday. The spokesperson remarked that he is delighted to confirm that Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married this evening in front of family and close friends.
28 year old Wentz co-founded the Fall Out Boys in 2001. The band has ever since rising in its popularity with albums release like ‘From Under the Cork Tree’. The 23 year old Ashlee Simpson on the other hand released her third music album ‘Bittersweet World’ in April this year. The talented and popular singer is the younger sister of actress and singer Jessica Simpson.
