According to sources, Ashish Chowdhary will head the services division of Nokia Siemens Network from October 1, 2009. He will be replacing Rajeev Suri, who will assume charge as the CEO of the Nokia Siemens Network. Ashish Chowdhary is currently responsible for managed services. He will soon the executive board of Nokia Siemens Network.
 
 “As head of one of the fastest growing segments within Services and a proven leader, Ashish is the natural successor to Rajeev,” said Simon Beresford-Wylie, Nokia Siemens Networks’ chief executive officer. “He will make an excellent addition to our Executive Board.”
 
“Ashish has a deep understanding of our customers from his leadership of managed services,” said Rajeev Suri. “Having worked closely with Ashish for many years I know him as someone with a passion for winning, for growing businesses, and for exploring new business models in this fast transforming industry.”
 
Chowdhary, with a rich experience in the telecom- IT sector, entered Nokia in Dec 2003 as the Nokia’s head for Indian business. He was carrying out the same role under Nokia Siemens Networks.
 
Prior to joining Nokia, Chowdhary has served Hughes Communications Ltd, India as the vice president. He had also worked as a software and project engineer for Hughes Network Systems in the United States.
