Arun Sarin, the former CEO of Vodafone, will rejoin Kohlberg Kravis Roberts as its senior advisor. He had quit the New York-based KKR in 2003.
Indian-born Sarin, 54, had joined Vodafone after he quit KKR. But he had quit Vodafone in 2008.
Sarin had held a pivotal role to help Vodafone attain the record profits of $13.16 billion during the 2007-08 fiscal year, which ended on March 31, 2008. He will, now, act as the senior advisor to the KKR's investment and operations specialists.
Sarin has mentioned that he was "very pleased" to rejoin KKR.
"KKR is a preeminent investment firm that has evolved over three decades and expanded its investment capabilities. I am excited to contribute my own experience to cultivating KKR's existing investments and enhancing the Firm's growth initiatives," he added.
KKR co-founders Henry R. Kravis and George R.
