On Wednesday (18th February) Aravind Bhat clinched the men's singles title in the 73rd Senior National Badminton Championship at Abhay Prashal Sports Complex in Indore. The final of the 73rd Senior National Badminton Championship was played between Bhat and P Kashyap. It was a high-voltage affair, with both the players fighting hard for each point. Bhat beat P Kashyap 21-19, 21-14.
The women's final was also a nail-biting affair. Here Sayali Gokhale had to put an extra effort to stop the dream run of PC Tulasi in three-game thriller. Fourth seed Gokhale won the first game at 21-17 after trailing initially. Seventeen-year-old Tulasi bounced back in the second game. But it was Sayali who used all her experience to eventually emerge winner.
