Apple, the manufacturer of iPods, and MacBooks has warned its channel partners about the supply of the same products in the month of August. Market analysts have opined that Apple usually does similar practice when it launches new models of the product. However, there is no confirmation of any launch, or re-launch of any model as of now from Apple.
However, there is another reason for dwindling supply of MacBooks from Apple, and that is, this time Apple is not going to use Intel's Montevina chipset in some new MacBooks; and this might cause delay in production. Some sources have even proposed that new models from Apple might be available in September month this year.
Similarly, Apple has asked channel partners to place MacBook orders in large numbers so that they are given advance supply to meet the demand of nearly three weeks. According to some sources, products such as MacBooks and 15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pros would fall short in supply, and the request has been made by Apple for these products only.
