Apple, the consumer electronics giant, has launched its new iPod range that is thinner and sleeker than the earlier version. Steve Jobs, Apple’s Chief Executive was present at the launch of this nano music player on September 9, 2008. The improved thinner version of Apple’s iPod comes in two slick models. Job claims that the oval-shaped devices are the thinnest iPods Apple has ever made. The $A199 version of the Apple iPod comes with 8GB memory that can store over 2000 songs, while a 16 GB version can hold 4000 songs. Both the version is about 6.4mm thick.
The iPod nano incorporates Apple’s Genius Technology that automatically creates play lists from songs in the music library. The new iPod is designed to provide up to 36 hours of music playback or six hours of video playback on a single charge, under standard conditions. Meanwhile reports state that although Apple has sold more than 184 million iPods since its debut in 2001, but there has been a decline in the sale from 2007. Now the launch of the new versions of iPods by Apple is clearly an act of making the business to kick-off in full-fledged manner.
