Apple has acquired the rights to offer ready-made ringtones for the iPhone. Apple is expected to make them available at the press conference to be held next week.
The new music snippets will allow the iPhone users to obtain a pre-cut ringtone instead of having to create their own.
The sources have said that Apple will announce the ringtones on September 9 on the occasion of press conference but an Apple spokesman denied to comment on the information.
It is also being speculated that Apple is going to unveil a new digital album cover named Cocktail at the press event. Some upgraded iPods may also be launched. There are also rumours that there could finally be an announcement that a Beatles catalog is coming to iTunes. The Beatles' premastered digital albums and Rock Band video game will also be released on September 9.
The ringtones have already proved to be a boon to the music industry.
