Apple has made an overhaul in its desktop and laptop lines including the Mac Mini line of small scale desktops. Some of the updates have been added along with bringing new models.
The new iMacs will now come with aluminum and edge-to-edge glass structure instead of polycarbon design. The iMacs will be available in 21.5 inch and 27-inch models having a 16:9 aspect ratio. The sets will run with Intel Core 2 Duo chips.
The other features include mini-Display Port input which can be used as a video input. It helps the user to use the larger iMac as a second monitor. The 27-inchers also have a high storage option of about 2TB. Along with this, each new iMac will sport with an SD Card.
Similarly, the MacBook laptops have been redesigned to add a multitouch mouse.
Starting price for the 21.5-inch model has been fixed at $1,199 while the 27-incher set will cost $1,699. The company will also offer step-up models for each screen size.
