Apple's iPod Touch will be available in Indian market from October 8. E Y Yeo (Senior Manager - Asia Pacific) Apple, talking with media professionals in Mumbai said that the new iPod touch will be available for a maximum retail price of Rs 15,100 for the 8 GB model, Rs 19,100 for 16 GB and Rs 25,000 for the 32 GB model through Apple authorized resellers.
The memory of mobile is so huge that, while its 32 GB model holds up to 7,000 songs, the 16 GB model holds up to 3,500 songs. On the other hand, 8 GB holds up to 1,750 songs. Interesting part of the iPod Touch is its new iTunes 8 Genius which allows customers to automatically create playlists while on the go. Its built-in speaker makes it special from earlier versions.
iPod Touch has powerful batteries that it lasts for 36 hours in case of audio, and 6 hours in case of video. It has a multi-touch interface 3.5" color touch screen display. Also, its 480 x 320 pixel resolution makes it an attractive gadget. Another important feature of the Touch is its WiFi 802.11b/g wireless access. Weighing 115 g the handset is a good option along with Apple iPhones for music lovers.
