Apple iPhone 4, high-end luxury phone in the market today, is soon likely to launch the smartphone with CDMA capability in India, sources said.

Though the iPhones are available with India’s major telecom companies- Airtel and Vodafone, it is being reported from some time that Apple may release the iPhone 4 as CDMA version on Tata Indicom and RCom (Reliance Communications) in India.

The iPhone 4 was first launched in July 2010 in select markets including Germany, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Japan.

The phone was carried by the US telecom major AT&T, with whom Apple has signed an exclusive agreement. Now the company has signed a non-exclusive deal with Verizon, according to sources. This non-exclusive deal between Apple and Verizon hints that its services could be carried on in other countries also.

The price of the iPhone 4 from Verizon is $200 for the 16GB model or $300 for a 32GB model with a two-year contract with Verizon. In India, the price of the CDMA version is not expected to be higher than the GSM version. However, Apple has not officially announced the launch of iPhone 4 CDMA in India.
