The much anticipated Apple tablet device, iPad has been launched in two variants such as WiFi only and WiFi+3G.
The new device weighs less than a kilo and is 0.5 inches thick. It sports a 9.7-inch capacitive display and many more features like browsing websites, playing games, reading eBooks, watching HD movies and photos. The iPad runs with iPhone 3.2 OS. It has a nice processor with 1GHz A4 configuration. There is also a rechargeable 25Whr lithium-polymer battery with the iPad's body to provide constant power.
The new Apple iPad is capable of running as many as 140,000 apps listed in the App Store and it also features 12 multi-touch options. Apart from that this device has all the apps to support both landscape as well as portrait modes. This nice device is also portable due to its light weight and the embedded IPS technology offers nice resolution too.
The other features in this tablet device include a VoiceOver screen reader, ability to access iTunes Store with new user interface to browse, buy and download music, podcasts, videocasts TV shows and many more things. The Safari browser also makes the web browsing a nice experience and finger-print resistant oleophobic coating is there like the iPod Touch and iPhone devices.
More to it, in the iPad, one can find Pages App for documents, Keynote App for presentations and Numbers App for Presentation from App Store by subscribing for $10. The iPad features standard 30-pin connector which can be used to connect it to a Mac or PC for data transfer as well as charging. The usual features like built-in mic, speakers and 3.5mm audio jack and Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR technology have been included too.
This Apple device comes in three memory versions like16GB, 32GB and 64GB. As far as pricing is concerned the tablet’s WiFi and WiFi+3G models would be priced as $499 (Rs. 24,000 approx.) and $629 (Rs. 30,200 approx.) respectively. Similarly for the memory versions the pricing would be $499, $599 and $699 for 16GB, 32GB and 64GB respectively. For the WiFi+3G iPad model the pricing would be $629, $729 and $829 respectively.
This Apple tablet is expected to be in the market by April end. And, the international pricing would be followed then too.
